Transition training in Stourport

Bishops Wood Centre in Stourport is hosting another weekend of Transition Training in June. This is  two day "fundamentals" course for those wishing to know how to set up, run, and maintain a successful Transition Initiative. The cost for the two days is £120 per person (including lunch, tea/coffee, cold drinks).

A vision for Transition Malvern Hills

The following vision statement has been agreed by the Steering Group, 9th March 2009. Comments are welcome. 

"The vision for Transition Malvern Hills is to bring about a change in the way the communities in this district, and future generations, live and work to enable them to enjoy a better quality of life while avoiding further damage to our beautiful environment and breaking our dependency on fossil fuels and other non-renewable resources.

The politics of transition

For those like me who struggle to see how the "transition towns movement" connects with wider political issues, an article on the openDemocracy online journal is worth a read. It asks "where will the politics of resilience lead? and specifically talks about transition matters.
