Registering as a website user

Due to a high level of dubious sign-ups, we've currently switched off the ability to register yourself as a site user. We'll probably switch it back on fairly soon, but in the meantime you can use the General Feedback category in the Get in Touch form to ask to be set up.

You don't need to be registered to post a reply to a topic in the discussion area, or add a comment elsewhere, although we'll need to approve it before it appears for others to see.

Topics in the discussion area

Items which appear in the discussion area have been added by a range of people who have expressed interest in ideas behind Transition Towns. Transition Malvern Hills does not expressly or implicitly necessarily support all of the content added in this way but wants to provide as open a forum as possible. And is likely to support most of the material.

As a general rule we would not wish to remove items unless they run counter to our values (see Constitution under Reference>Group Documents) or are unlawful. (Or spam of course, but our filter is very effective and as yet no spam has reached the live site.)

Site production

We try to provide useful material (written, audio or visual) to all those interested in Transition Malvern Hills, and are happy to receive suggestions. Working groups pages have a direct input from a rep from the group, so contact the relevant group if you have something for that section.

This website uses the 'open source' Drupal content management system plus various modules, and the Zen Classic design with minor tweaks.

If there are any problems that you come across, please use the contact form under Get in Touch, selecting General Feedback. Thanks.

Cookies and user tracking

This website uses the widely adopted Google Analytics service to give us an idea of the number of visitors and what they are viewing. This doesn't identify individuals to us, and uses both cookies (a small file stored on your computer) and Javascript.

You can stop this tracking by either disabling Javascript or using a web browser such as Firefox which allows you to set your own choice on which sites can use cookies. Cookies are essential on Transition Malvern Hills if you have an account (so are a registered website user) to enable you to log in.
