A day Out

If you're wondering what to do today, Transition Malvern Hills, will be at Malvern Wells Fete.  The Main theme for the day will be the gas lamps that light many of our streets and paths around Malvern.  The lamps because of their expensive maintenance costs have been, for many years, under threat of being replaced.  Now with (Energy) Brian's industrious work, he has challenged these costs and has offered a plan of how to make these lamps far more efficient, economical and environmentally acceptable.  Do come along and enjoy the day as well as show support for this work and the other Transition Malvern Hills work that has made a difference in Malvern.
Malvern Wells Fete, 19th September, 2 - 4pm, Malvern Wells Village Green, The Crescent.

Wow Wow Wow

Wow Wow Wow what a fantastic productive day at Malvern Wells Fete.  Transition Malvern Hills had an eclectic presence.  Brian with his gas lamp project, assisted by Andreas, who had travelled all the way from Dusseldorf drawn by the impressive work that Brian and his team had been covering over the last few months, put on a thought provoking display.  It woke up the residents of Malvern Wells to what is a far more econmonic, efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to the suggestions put by District, Town and the local parish council to solving the running costs of Malvern's magnificent gas lamps.  Watch this space!
We also provided  information on the Energy Monitor scheme, as well as Energy Tracers, the calendar of events, the garden share scheme and the achievements of the stalwarts of Transition Malvern Hills.
Many thanks to Lynne for organising TMH presence and for the tea and tea cakes afterwards.
