Lunch at St Ann's Well

18th August.  I went out for lunch at the St Ann's Well on my Bike.  Well it's not really my bike, but I want it to be!!!!  It was one of the electric bikes that has been funded by Malvern Hills AONB.  Well I managed to get half way up St Ann's road before I ran out of steam (not the bike), I was in the wrong gear and it all sort of got messy and things and I didn't want it to end in tears.  So the rest of the way I pushed the bike up to the Well. Well actually Richard did (who I met on the way up for Transition lunch at St Ann's), I carried his coat.
Lunch was good, as always there, and the sun was shinning.  Lots of people were interested in the bike and had a few go's.  The two rather hard core looking mountain bikers didn't though.  They didn't give it a second glance as they hopped onto their bikes and continued on their way UP the hill.  I was impressed, but it's not for me, I like to embrace technology especially if it helps me ride a bike around Malvern without having a heart attack.  After an informative lunch time, in which I found out about Humax freesat, we wandered back down the hill (clouds had gathered a bit).  Sitting outside the Well always reminds me of how lucky we are to live in Malvern.
It's the Beacon tomorrow, I don't think the bike is joining me on this one.
