Turning a New Leaf in Herefordshire
Submitted by johnh on Tue, 09/02/2010 @ 15:10
New website just gone live for New Leaf, a project of the Herefordshire Environment Partnership: "living lightly for a sustainable Herefordshire".
They've still got some tidying up to do, perhaps, but there's already some info about interesting events in the area. Worth keeping an eye on.
New Leaf runs on the same Drupal system as Transition Malvern Hills (and increasingly other green sites - main national Transition site will be switching soon).

Carbon-Mapping Herefordshire... YOUR Contribution please
Thank You TMH!
The New Leaf project is gathering momentum and I just want to tell you now about one part of the project.... 'Mapping' all carbon-related activities which take place in the county. And if you have any knowledge of Herefordshire we need YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS PLEASE.... as soon as possible (first phase ends at the end of March).
If you know of any activities in Herefordshire which either produce carbon emissions, or aim to reduce them, or aim to adapt to climate change, please go to the website www.herefordshirenewleaf.org.uk and click on the link to the Carbon Mapping project - there's an Introductory page and then a link to a form on which you can tell us what you know. This information goes straight into a database where it is collated and put to use.
This is not just for 'specialists' or 'environmentalists' but for anyone who has anything to contribute which may be useful for New Leaf to take into consideration in the next phase : interconnecting all the county's efforts at carbon-reduction.
For those who can't access the website, you can receive a form by email instead, or you can even request a form by post.
CONTACT : NICK SHERWOOD mapping@herefordshirenewleaf.org.uk or 07957 348885
We hope to hear from you...
